I run the mornings, not a geotag farm. I will not publish a secret rock and a drone pin. The watching product already names the stops we use. The rest is which hotel you slept in.

Göreme street can put a basket near a minaret. Ortahisar castle is dots in the distance. Ürgüp and Avanos are usually too far for the postcard. Town pages: Uçhisar · Göreme.
The watching morning we actually sell
Hotel pickup about 30 minutes before sunrise — we confirm the night before because sunrise moves. About two hours. Driver, croissant, water, English audio guide (bring earphones). No photographer in the price. Tips extra. €15 on the dates we have loaded for 2026.
The route: take-off area first (burners on the ground), then the valley they flew, then panoramic stops. Our watching FAQ lists Love Valley, Rose Valley, and a Göreme viewpoint. That is the list I will stand behind. The exact pull-offs follow the fleet that morning, not a pinned “best rock 2024”.
24-hour guest cancel. Weather: rebook or refund — same rule family as the flight. If nothing leaves the ground, you are not owed a fake sky. Watching tour.
Viewpoints are uneven. Closed shoes on every stop. The product notes and the FAQ disagree on wheelchairs; plan for dirt and a step. Infants on laps; no child seats. Ages 1–99 on this tour. Shared flights stay 5–80.
In the basket
That is the photograph people mean when they say Cappadocia. Göreme is the chimney postcard. Çat and Soğanlı are licensed and usually cheaper the same week — a different floor. Our 22 August 2026 Göreme list is typically €70–€220, September–October €169–€219. Prices · balloon.
Closed shoes. Layers. Nothing over the side. Do not sit on the rim. Do not lean out. Hold on for landing. Leave when the crew says. Safety.
Souvenir stills on the flight are extra. That is a seller after you land, not a licence to hang off the leather. Gloves in January if you intend to hold a phone. What to wear.
From the hotel — what is real
Uçhisar: the ridge is why the terrace costs money. Wide sky, balloons as a fleet, not a basket in your window. Castle at opening if you want height and stairs.
Göreme: closer to the field. A street shot is possible. You will also get scooters and other phones. The Open Air Museum is not a sunrise balloon stand.
Ortahisar: the other castle — landscape dots. Çavuşin: better as a low-light village, not as a substitute for the watching van. Sunset is a different picture from the fleet.
Do not climb a closed terrace because a reel said so. Do not stand in a launch lane.
Love Valley, Rose Valley, Göreme viewpoint
Those names are on our watching FAQ because the driver uses that corridor. Love Valley is also a Red Tour stop later in the day — that is afternoon rock, not the 05:30 inflation. Rose Valley is a walk from the Göreme / Çavuşin side in daylight. Mixing “I will hike Rose at 04:40 without a torch or a driver” is how people miss the sky and twist an ankle.
Red at 10:00 will not give you the balloon line. Book watching or fly. Red vs Green.
Phone, extra prints, private van
A phone is enough if you can hold it. January wants gloves. A long lens on the watching stops is fine; a tripod in a working take-off lane is not. We do not include a photographer on watching. Flight souvenir prints are a separate till after landing.
Private or semi-private watching can be arranged on request — exclusive vehicle, flexible timing. I will not print a 2026 private-watching cell I have not loaded here. Ask before you invent a price in the chat.
Do not fly a drone over a launch field because a blog said “epic”. I am not publishing a drone rulebook. Stay out of the operation.
When the frame is crowded or empty
September–October: more baskets, peak Göreme cells. February or late November: fewer people, snow if you get it, more holds. I will not print a fake cancel %. Three nights if the photo is why you came. Best time · how many days.
A cancelled morning is a grey valley. The watching tour follows the same weather call. You can rebook or take the refund. You cannot buy a sky that did not launch.
What I would not do
- Walk the field without the watching van or a crew wave-in.
- Lean out of a basket for a story.
- Stack a 10:00 Red and a sunrise watch on the same legs you also flew.
- Promise a child under five a shared flight. Watching exists.
- Publish a stranger’s pin as “our secret spot”.
A spine I would book
- If the in-air shot is the point: fly morning one. Souvenir prints optional. Hands in for landing.
- If someone cannot fly, or you want inflation: watching the same morning or the spare sunrise — €15.
- If you only want the fleet on the horizon: sleep Uçhisar and stand on the terrace. Still book a spare night.
The photograph is a product. Buy the one you actually want. The live watching and balloon pages beat this article the morning the fleet changes.
